On September 7, the Hill Country Conservancy will hold their Hill Country Nights benefit in Austin, Texas, featuring performances by Margo Price and Hayes Carll. Taking place at the Moody Theater (also known as ACL Live since the TV series Austin City Limits is recorded there), the special night of stellar music will raise funds to help preserve the stunning landscape of the Texas Hill Country.
The Hill Country Conservancy aims to protect the beautiful region of the Hill Country, peppered with natural springs fueled by traveling rainwater and open land inhabited by Texas wildlife. Overdeveloping the land encroaches upon and threatens the natural wonders, so the Conservancy focuses on finding a balance. They provide development information to landowners and residents as well as holding events like birding hikes and trail cleanups to get Texans involved hands-on.
Margo Rae Price is an American country singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Fader has called her "country's next star." Her debut solo album Midwest Farmer's Daughter was released on Third Man Records in 2016. The album was recorded in three days. On tour, she is backed by her band The Pricetags.
Joshua Hayes Carll known professionally as Hayes Carll, is a singer-songwriter. A native of the Woodlands, Texas, his style of roots-oriented songwriting has been noted for its plainspoken poetry and sarcastic humor.
Tickets are available for the benefit and range from $40-$60 in price. Don’t miss your chance to see these fan favorites once again in Austin!
