Austin Film Festival furthers the art and craft of storytelling by inspiring and championing the work of writers, filmmakers, and all artists who use written and visual language to tell a story.
Austin Film Festival (AFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the art, craft, and business of filmmakers and screenwriters, and recognizing their contributions to film, television, and new media. AFF champions the work of aspiring and established writers and filmmakers by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.
There are a plethora of terrific films to be seen and consumed at AFF, many that will be on the verge of release, and that you’ll later discover are Oscar nominees. (You can tell your friends, “I saw it before it opened at Austin Film Festival, sucka!”) You’ll look at our eight-day film schedule and feel like an eight-year-old at an Amy’s Ice Cream counter. So many movies, so little room! AFF will be screening film and television premieres galore, plus competition films, documentaries, script readings, etc. with all-star line-ups and Q&As by your favorite writers, actors and filmmakers.
