The Indigenous Cultures Institute is excited to host the 9th Annual Sacred Springs Powwow on Saturday, October 19th.
Sacred Springs Powwow will be a celebration of the culture, arts, traditions, ceremonies, and languages of the population collectively known as Coahuiltecans. The festival boasts an annual attendance of 6,000 and features performances by over 100 dancers, traditional drums, and singers with a spectacular Indian Market of arts & craft booths and authentic Native foods.
Vendors include Native American Marketplace, Free Spirit Creations, Just Smash’em Lemonade, Longhorn Intertribal Frybread, Eddie's Funnel Cake, Department of Veteran Affairs, and Official Powwow T-shirts & Raffle— amidst many more.
Parking will be available in the parking lots on both sides of Bobcat Stadium. There will be signs for shuttle pick-up points at the covered waiting area of both parking lots. The shuttles will run continuously from 9:30 until 6:30. Tickets prices will vary and are available online at www.sspowwow.com or in person.
The event is hosted by the Indigenous Cultures Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the research and preservation of the culture, arts, traditions, ceremonies, and languages of this population, collectively known as Coahuiltecans.
